DAILY BULLETIN FOR MAY 26, 2017

 

Today’s lunch menu is pizza parlor pizza or BBQ burger and tater tots.

 

No late bus for the remainder of the school year. The track bus will continue to run as normal and return to Preston and Harmony.

 

TOMORROW: Baseball at Lake City vs. LaCrescent. Bus will leave Harmony at 9:00 and Preston at 9:20 AM.

 

Track members: return your uniforms to the FC high school office when your season is completed and receive your track letter pin in return.

 

FCLMC wrestling camp registration are due back in the office today. The camp will run June 13-15.

 

OMC Sports Medicine will be offering $25 sports physicals at their Rochester location on Saturday, June 24th and Saturday, August 5th from 9-11:30 AM.  

 

Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine is also offering $20 sports physicals on Saturday, July 22nd from 8-11 AM at the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center in Rochester, located at 565 First Street SW.

 

Typically athletes going into 7th grade and 10th grade need sports physicals. (every 3 years) Stop up in the office if you need a physical form.

 

FYI: The last day of school will be June 6, 2017. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 AM.

 

There is still time to get an application in if you are interested in working for the FC Summer Rec program. See the posting in the office window. The deadline has been extended. Turn in your application to the high school office.

 

The deadline for “Harmony Sings” applications is Wednesday, May 31st. Drop off your applications at Kingsley Mercantile!

 

If you like to read and talk, how about joining a book club!? Everybody is welcome to read and discuss great books.  See Ms. Nielsen for an interest form.  They are due back to her on May 29.

 

10th, 11th, and 12th grade students interested in taking the Accu-placer test on June 1st, please sign up in the office by tomorrow - May 26th.

 

As you start to clean out lockers for the end of the year, please keep in mind that instead of throwing away slightly used school supplies, there is a donation box in the office that you can put them in.

 

The library will be closed right after school today. No detention time will be available.

 

An exciting night of track last evening!  A new school record, two new sub-section meet records and several individuals and relay teams advancing to sections. Here is a list of students that will be advancing to sections.

4x800 meter relay girls: 1st place: Kaylee Arndt, Kiera Olson, Bailey Ruen, Leah Ruen - Also made a new sub-section meet record 9:44.85; 4x800 meter relay boys: 1st place: Matt Lutes, Michael Harrison, Aaron Eversole, Carson Kiehne; Boys long jump: 1st place Caleb Kath; 4x200 Meter relay girls: 1st place: Ashley Miner, Leah Ruen, Emma Breitsprecker, Bailey Ruen; 1 mile girls: 1st place Kaylee Arndt; 400 meter dash boys: 1st place Carson Kiehne; 300 meter hurdles girls: 2nd place Emma Breitsprecker; 800 meter dash girls: 1st place Katie Prinsen; 2 miles girls: 1st place Kiera Olson; Shot put boys: 3rd place TJ Ruen; High Jump boys: 2nd place Conner Ruen; Pole Vault girls: 1st Place Ashley Miner. 2nd place Michaela Brazee; Ashley Miner made a new school record 9 feet and 7 inches!; Pole vault boys: 1st place Trey Chiglo; 2nd place Greyson Higbe- Harrah; 4x400 meter relay girls: 1st Place Ashley Miner, Emma Breitsprecker, Bailey Ruen, Leah Ruen. Also made a new sub-section meet record 4:05.44; 4x400 meter relay boys: 3rd place Brady Dutton, Matt Lutes, Aaron Eversole, Michael Harrison; Sections will be held May 30 and June 1st at PEM.
