School Readiness News Release
We are happy to invite you to attend Fillmore Central’s School Readiness Program for children 3/4 and 4/5 years of age.
The goal of school readiness is to provide children with successful starts through healthy nurturing learning environments.
The Fillmore Central School Readiness program is a 4-Star Parent-Aware educational program serving ages 3-5. We offer small class sizes and low child-to-staff ratios to allow for greater learning gains! Our professional staff are highly trained educators and we provide ongoing professional development on timely topics such as STEM, SMART Training, Conscious Discipline, and Mad2Glad. We utilize research-based, Parent Aware approved curricular materials as we meet the social-emotional and intellectual needs of our children. Classes in pre-learning involve activities to stimulate the youngster’s thinking, enrich his/her social development and expand those short attention spans. We develop good relationships in the classroom through turn taking, sharing and understanding rules. Classroom activities promote development in pre-math, pre-science, and language skills. We have great support from our school board and communities as they continue to invest in this important educational program through the Action 100 reading program, new age appropriate playgrounds, transportation, smart boards in the classrooms, and building security.
We offer two-3/4 school readiness with a Monday/Wednesday session and a Tuesday/Thursday session from 8:15am -10:15am.
We offer four-4/5 school readiness classes with Monday-Friday class from 8:15-11:15 or 12:05-3:05 and a Monday/Wednesday/Friday; we offer an AM session (8:15am-11:15am) and a PM session (12:05pm-3:05pm)

School Readiness Classes for 3-5 year olds:
- Morning and afternoon sessions offered at the Fillmore Central Elementary School for both 3-4 year olds and for the 4-5 year old group, including possible transportation.
- These classes in pre-learning involve activities to stimulate the youngster’s thinking, enrich his/her social development, and expand those short attention spans.
- Classes also provide activities that promote the development in pre-math, pre-science, and language skills.
